[CES2025] An impressive Titan 18 HX laptop presented by MSI

Among the many laptops presented by MSI (we’ll come back to that later), the brand presented its flagship with the Titan 18 HX. This machine offers a dream configuration and a screen that promises to be incredible. Anyway, let’s get into the details!

The Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth :

The Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth is the biggest PC in the MSI range. For this model, we’re not sure what was going through MSI’s mind, but the brand is offering us a machine bearing the effigy of Norse mythology. The PC is covered in artwork depicting an ice dragon. If you’re a fan of Nordic aesthetics, you’ll be pleased, as it features Nordic runes, symbols representing the world tree – in short, the whole package. And if you prefer more sober machines, this Titan 18 HX is available without the Nordic cover!

Otherwise, the configuration will be muscular, featuring a Core Ultra 9 285HX, the highest in the range. The GPU part is entrusted to an RTX 5090 with its 24 GB of GDDR7, while for the RAM, we have up to 96 GB of DDR5 and four M.2 slots, one of which is PCIe 5.0 x4.

In terms of cooling, the brand has taken steps to dissipate the heat emitted by the configuration, with a vapour chamber covering the main components. What’s more, the PCIe 5.0 SSD will benefit from the vapour chamber, as it is connected to it via a copper heat pipe.

As for the screen, the brand is bringing out the heavy artillery with an 18″ mini-LED model displaying 3840×2400 at 120 Hz (touted as being the first in the world) with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. As for the rest, this screen meets all the requirements for DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

As for the keyboard, we have a mechanical model with Cherry MX ULP switches, which we tested on the Corsair K100 Air Wireless keyboard!

In short, all these features and all this power are reflected in the size and weight of the machine. The PC measures 404 (W) x 307.5 (D) x 32.05 (H) mm. As for the weight, you’ll need to have strong shoulders, as it weighs in at 3.6 kg! As for the price, don’t even think about it.
