With the announcement of the new RTX 50, MSI is offering us a new series of cards. The brand is trying out new things and stepping out of its comfort zone by announcing new series of cards, in addition to its Ventus, Gaming Trio and Suprim ranges. To coincide with the launch of the RTX 50, the brand is also offering Inspire and Vanguard cards, two brand new ranges!
Vanguard and Inspire, two new series!
As far as the Vanguard series is concerned, the brand has indicated that these will be top-of-the-range cards that will slot in between the Suprim and Gaming Trio series. These models feature all the latest cooling technologies, with a vapour chamber, StormForce fans, fins with various profiles, etc. Design-wise, you either like it or you don’t, but it’s clear that the brand is pushing the gaming envelope. There’s RGB, a big illuminated MSI logo on the edge and a dragon, also illuminated, on the back of the card.
Regarding the Inspire series of cards, MSI says this will be its offering “redefining entry-level AI performance”. The cards are designed to be compact, with a sleek, sober gold casing. No frills here, with RGB all over the place – no, we’d almost be tempted to say ‘ no fun allowed ‘… But on the other hand, we really like it, it gives the card a refined look. What’s more, we wouldn’t be surprised if this series replaced the Expert range announced with the RTX 4000.
After that, it’s a matter of taste, but we’re tempted to say that MSI is one of the rare brands that manages to offer entry-level cards that are more attractive than their top-of-the-range models.
Suprim, Gaming Trio and Ventus, we know!
For the rest, the company is renewing its Suprim, Gaming Trio and Ventus ranges. The Suprim range continues to be at the top of the range, with a top-of-the-range heatsink, new fans and a design as elegant as ever. Note that the Liquid version benefits from liquid cooling in the form of a 360 mm AIO.
The Gaming Trio range continues to evolve both aesthetically and technically, with a new cooling system. However, the cooling system does not appear to be as advanced as that of the Vanguard cards. We assume that the steam chamber will not be present here.
Finally, as far as Ventus cards are concerned, once again we find an offer whose aim is to offer an affordable price. Inevitably, concessions are made in terms of the heatsink and the aesthetic aspect… Although on this generation RTX 50, the casing shows some serious work!
