The Sapphire brand is, to say the least, a major and long-standing partner of AMD. Indeed, the brand was founded in 2001 in Hong Kong, and at the time offered graphics cards based on ATI GPUs, then AMD following the buyout. Today, 24 years later, the brand is teasing its RX 9000 Pulse, with two variants on offer!
RX 9000 Pulse: Sapphire releases teasers!
As you can see, the brand has released two teaser images that show too much, but not enough… The company unveils only two graphics card halves, one with a triple fan and the other with only two fans. Of course, it’s hard to say which is which, even if we do have our suspicions. Here, we can only assume that the three-fan version is an RX 9070 XT and the other a non-XT RX 9070.
In any case, both models share the same fans. However, the two fairings differ, with different shapes depending on the model. In addition, the cooling system appears massive, with a shell protruding from the PCIe bracket in height. What’s more, you can tell that on the triple fan model, the PCB heatsink protrudes from the PCB of a good fan.
Unfortunately, the brand won’t give any further details of the boards’ specifications. All we know is that they exist.
The question now arises as to the future of the Nitro series. As you’ll recall, Sapphire’s Pulse series represents the brand’s entry-level offering of personalized cards. Above that, we have the Pure series in white, followed by the Nitro and Toxic ranges for very, very large cards. However, in view of what AMD has in store for us, we don’t see the point in Sapphire offering such cards.
