The Zotac RTX 5090 product sheet has appeared on the manufacturer’s website. What’s interesting is that the brand does not hide any technical data and displays all the information relating to its cards, including power consumption. The latter is significant, estimated at between 575W and 600W depending on the model. It should also be pointed out that the brand only offers two models: Solid and AMP Extreme Infinity.
Zotac RTX 5090: power consumption of 575 W and 600 W!
On the Zotac side, there are really only two cards: the Solid series (with an OC version) and the AMP Extreme Infinity. It’s the latter that has the highest power consumption, but at the same time it’s the one that runs at the highest frequencies. In fact, the card has a frequency of 2467 MHz compared with 2407 MHz for the Solid OC version and 2422 MHz for the Solid non-OC model.
Be that as it may, it’s worth noting that the power consumption of the AMP model is 600 W, compared with 575 W for the Solid series. What’s more, the brand has no hesitation in recommending large power supplies with these cards, since blocks of at least 1000 W are recommended. Of these 1000 W, 600 W will go to the GPU, with the rest going to the rest of the configuration, so there’s plenty to do all the same… Unless you’re planning to add a heavily overclocked Core i9 14900KS behind it, then you’re in trouble.
In any case, the cards are veritable cinder blocks, more than three slots thick and over 30 cm long! In all cases, the cooling system is massive and the AMP series stands out for the presence of more RGB lighting on the edge of the card, where it is fairly discreet on the Solid series.
Finally, on the price front, expect to pay $1,999 officially.
